Today, December 6, the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told about how the situation with terrorists in Afghanistan may affect the interests of Russia. She announced this at the weekly briefing.
According to her, the increased presence of radical Islamists, supporters of the terrorist organization «Islamic state»,1 in Afghanistan threatens Russia’s national interests. In particular, she noted the strengthening of militants in the Northern provinces of the country.
Zakharov stressed that the growing scale of threats related to terrorist attacks and drug trafficking that go with the territory of that state.
