The President of the United States Donald trump believes it is important to conclude agreements with Russia over Ukraine and Syria, said the press Secretary of the White house Sean Spicer.
«The President has always stressed the importance of making deals with Russia on Syria, Ukraine, the elimination of ISIS (the terrorist group Islamic state banned in Russia — ed.) and other key issues in the interests and for the safety of the American people» — quoted by TASS Spicer.
In a statement the White house also notes that «grandstanding and politicizing investigations into actions,» trump fired FBI Director James Comey «has created unnecessary pressure» on the possibility of the White house «to find a common language and to negotiate with Russia».
The representative of the administration trump added that the national security of the United States «was undermined by the leak of private and top secret conversations.»
Earlier, the New York Times reported, citing a source, that Donald trump allegedly at a meeting with Sergei Lavrov called for the dismissal of FBI Director James Komi «crazy» and that he is pleased that after the resignation of Komi he got rid of the «big pressure».
