Ukraine has sent Hungary a letter of protest

Ukraine Hungary sent a note of protest in connection with the scheduled for October 13 as the share of «self-Determination for Transcarpathia» reports TASS with reference to the entry in the «Twitter» of the foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin.

According to Klimkin, as soon as the Ukrainian foreign Ministry received from the Hungarian colleagues information about the campaign «self-Determination for Transcarpathia», depodesta Hungary sent a note of protest with the requirement to forbid «this provocation».

«Is that Budapest supports separatism?», — said Klimkin.

The head of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry also expressed hope that Hungary will respect the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Earlier, foreign Minister of Hungary Peter Siyarto refused to meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Pavlo Klimkin in Transcarpathia to discuss the Ukrainian education act, which infringes the rights of national minorities. Siyarto said that his Ukrainian colleague was late, as the law should have been discussed prior to its adoption.

Siyatro also promised to raise the issue of the abolition of the Agreement on Association of Ukraine with the EU, which requires the expansion of minority rights, because of the acceptance of Kiev of the law «On Education».
