Ukraine has discharged the first fine for wearing a St. George ribbon

Ukrainian police have issued the first fine for the wearing of the ribbons. It happened during mass events in the city of Dnepr, dedicated to the memory of the fallen in the great Patriotic war.

The national police of Ukraine has ordered the first fine for the wearing of the ribbons. It happened during mass events in the city of Dnepr. This was reported by «Russian planet».

Thursday in the river gathered several hundred people to honor those who died in the great Patriotic war. Local residents laid flowers to the monument to the 152nd Streletskaya division.

Earlier on 15 June in Ukraine came into force a law banning the use of St. George ribbons. Now for her public demonstration assumes a fine from 850 to 2550 UAH (from 32 to $ 96) and confiscation ribbons. However, this penalty does not apply to veterans of the great Patriotic war, as well as museums.
