The head of the state Department Rex Tillerson during a Sunday telephone conversation with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko confirmed the solid U.S. commitment «to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine». This was announced by the representative of us state Department mark Toner.
According to him, the Secretary of state also confirmed that sanctions against Moscow will remain in force until, «while Ukraine will not return control of Crimea and will be fully implemented the Minsk agreement.»
Tillerson also noted that Russia’s actions in Eastern Ukraine hamper the improvement of relations between Moscow and Washington. However, the White house is interested in improving relations with the Kremlin, said the head of the state Department.
