The United States declared innocence in the death of Russian General in Syria

The US state Department declared innocence of Washington to the death of Russian General in Syria. This was stated by the representative of the American diplomatic corps. Also there denied support of ISIS by the United States.

The us state Department rejected accusations of Moscow in support of the banned in Russia «Islamic state» and declared innocence of the United States to the death of the Russian General.

«Statements that the US supported ISIS or condoned the death of the Russian commander, not based on facts. The US and coalition have the same goal: the defeat of the IG,» — said the representative of the state Department, RIA Novosti reported.

In addition, the American diplomat noted that the United States will continue to implement mechanisms to prevent conflict with the Russian side in Syria.

The day before, on September 25, Russian Deputy foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that the death of General Valery Esipova in Syria as a result of a mortar attack by terrorists was the result of a two-faced policy of the United States. He added that the actions of the US under the Deir ez-Zor indicate that Washington’s geopolitical goals more important than fighting terrorism.
