The state Department has disclosed, under what conditions the US will begin direct negotiations with the DPRK

The state Department will begin direct talks with Pyongyang only after the North Korean authorities will refuse to work on nuclear weapons. It is reported by news Agency TASS, citing a statement by the press Secretary of the Ministry Heather Nauert following the meeting of foreign Ministers of the Russian Federation and the USA Sergey Lavrov and Rex Tillerson.

As it became known, during the talks, Lavrov and Tillerson addressed the issue of the conflict on the Korean Peninsula. The representative of the state Department clearly outlined Washington’s position on the situation with North Korea, saying that American authorities refuse to dialogue with Pyongyang until the termination of the last development of nuclear weapons.

Heather Nauert expressed the opinion that North Korea does not come initiatives in order to start direct negotiations. By words a press-the Secretary of the state Department, Pyongyang has preferred constructive dialogue to further missile launches.
