A number of countries, including Russia, did not support the draft resolution of the conflict in Syria, which was proposed by U.S. officials during an extraordinary session of the Executive Council of the OPCW. It is reported RIA Novosti citing a statement by the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia.
As it became known, the extraordinary session of the OPCW Executive Council continued in the Hague for two weeks, periodically interrupted and resumed. According to the head of the Department for nonproliferation and arms control Mikhail Ulyanov, during the meetings, the United States tried to push a very hard project that was anti-Syrian character.
