The Russian foreign Ministry stressed the importance that the court took a principled stand and did not support statements about Ukraine «aggression», «occupation» or the status of the Peninsula, is not related to the essence of the proceedings. Did not support claims of Kiev to Moscow in terms of «erasing cultural identity of Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities.»
Finally, the court did not consider justified the accusations of Ukraine in ethnically-motivated disappearances, killings and detentions in Crimea, the persecution of media and public organizations, a ban on holding rallies and public events Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities.
