The Pentagon has called the release Syrian coalition merit, not Russia

The Pentagon declined to comment on the message of Russian defense Ministry about the imminent release of terrorists from Syria East of the Euphrates river, but said that he believes it is for the most part its merit, not the merit of the Russian Federation.

«The Syrian regime and the Russian Federation has not demonstrated a serious approach or commitment to defeat ISIS* (terrorist group banned in Russia. — Approx. ed.). They carried out only a small part of operations against ISIS*, and most of the territory liberated in Iraq and Syria, was freed thanks to the efforts of the global coalition and its partners. The global coalition will continue operations in Syria in support of local forces on the ground to complete the defeat of ISIS* and stabilize the liberated territory, and this, in turn, will allow Syrians-refugees and internally displaced persons to return to their homes», — told RIA Novosti the representative of the Pentagon Eric Pahon.

Previously, the defense Ministry said that Syria hosted the first meeting of the delegates of the management Committee of the Eastern territories of the Euphrates, which invited the representative of the Russian forces. At the meeting, the representative of the Kurds said Kurdish formations are ready to ensure security of Russian military on the Eastern Bank of the Euphrates in Syria.

To interact with the militias created by the joint operational headquarters, its membership entered the Russian military and the representatives of the Eastern tribes of the Euphrates. The Kurdish party said that the members of the Committee for the Euphrates consider the Eastern province of Deir-ez-Zor as a inseparable part of Syria.
