Consul General of Russia in Svalbard Vyacheslav Nikolaev revealed details of the operation to find the Russian Mi-8 helicopter that went missing after the crash off the coast of the archipelago on October 26. It is reported by news Agency TASS, citing the statement of the diplomat.
As it became known, the Consul General said that the Russian side is absolutely ready to render any possible assistance to the Norwegian authorities in conducting search operations on Svalbard. It is noted that Russia will support in strict accordance with diplomatic rules.
