During the installation of a railway arch bridge across the Kerch Strait occurred emergency episode which gave rise to the second deathly silence. This was told the chief engineer of PKU uprdor «Taman» Federal road Agency (client project) Yuri Safonov in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Surgery to install a railway arch span weighing more than 6 thousand tons took place from 27 to 29 August and depended on many factors, primarily weather conditions.

And suddenly, in the air… dy-dents! For a second — a deathly silence… I Suspect, at this point, many slipped in the head of a strong word. As it turned out, someone just radio loud dropped,» — said Safonov.
According to him, the highest emotional intensity in the Maritime operation was at the time of separation of the arch from the floating supports, when a giant structure held only cables. «Here emotions only harm. Need a calm, balanced, regular work. That was demonstrated by our experts during the first Maritime operation», — said Safonov.
The bridge across the Kerch Strait that will link Crimea and Krasnodar Krai, will be the longest in Russia — its length is 19 kilometers. The beginning of the movement of vehicles on the bridge is scheduled for December 2018.
