The document States that with Kazakh partners, agreement was reached on creation at the cosmodrome Baikonur complex «Baiterek» with the use of a promising new Russian carrier rocket «Sunkar».

As previously reported, the staff member of the NPO Energomash design Bureau Khimavtomatika began to develop a new powerplant for «Sunkar». Engine design for fuel components «oxygen-kerosene». The company intends to improve it in a way to make cheaper, simple in design and is able to compete in the market.

«Sunkar» is a carrier rocket of middle class new generation, which is created by Russia and Kazakhstan at the Baikonur cosmodrome. She will be able to bring into orbit of up to 17 tons of payload.

In late 2012 the head of the National space Agency of Kazakhstan Talgat Musabayev said that the contract on rent of Baikonur is obsolete and therefore it can be revised in the direction of withdrawal from the lease and transfer of the spaceport under the jurisdiction of Kazakhstan.

Thus, the launch of a new project – the creation of the carrier rocket «Sunkar», which will become part of the Russian-Kazakhstan space rocket complex «Baiterek» will give high chances for the revival of cooperation of Russia and Kazakhstan in the aerospace field at the Baikonur cosmodrome.
