Australian anthropologists from Flinders University in Adelaide published a study in the journal of Human Evolution, and its main theme is the study of the remains of the mysterious «hobbits» of Flores island. In their work, scientists have suggested that these dwarf people are not degenerate CRO-magnons, the direct descendants of Homo habilis (Homo habilis).
One of the authors of the study, Michael Lee, said that thanks to the detailed analysis was possible with 99% accuracy to determine that the «hobbits» (also man Florensky, Homo floresiensis) are not descendants of Homo erectus and later species of humans. When this was disproved, the hypothesis is that discovered in the cave of Liang Bua on the Indonesian island of Flores the remains of the metre of the people were degraded by the CRO-magnons. Earlier it was believed that the «hobbits» was the result of a huge number of mutations, and congenital abnormalities. However, it is now evident that human ancestors appeared Florensky long before the emergence of Homo erectus, or Homo erectus, ancestor of CRO-magnon.
