Substances that are contained in the umbilical cord blood of man, possess unique properties. As it turned out, the plasma in the blood has a rejuvenating effect on the body. This is evidenced by a study by American neuroscientists, reports the scientific journal Nature.
Scientists from the U.S. found that a protein in umbilical cord blood tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases 2 (TIMP2) can rejuvenate the brain. Neuroscientists have carried out relevant experiments on experimental mice. Old rodents poured a small amount of TIMP2, and then studied their mental abilities. Researchers found that in rodents improved memory, learning and adaptation of the brain to new information. In particular, mice with embedded TIMP2 showed good results in the passage of the special Barnes maze, which is plain old rodents handled it much worse.
Earlier also it became known that scientists have uncovered anti-aging properties of beet juice. As it turned out, when consumed this drink before physical activity, it will also provide a rejuvenating effect on the human brain.
