Scientists are sounding the alarm: the mysterious «star of aliens» began to fade

American scientists are concerned about the change in the radiance of the mysterious star KIC 8462852 in the constellation Cygnus, also known as «star alien».

An astronomer from the University of Pennsylvania John Wright said that the «star alien» or «star Tabi» is starting to fade. About this he wrote on his page on the social network Twitter to draw the attention of colleagues. He called upon the scientists to identify the spectrum of the star KIC 8462852 with the help of telescopes, then to provide the results and compare them with past data.

This star was named «star of aliens» in 2015, when Yale astronomers have discovered its mysterious shimmer, associating it with the activity of extraterrestrial intelligence.
