Russia gave Syria the evidence of the use of mustard gas by militants in Aleppo

Russian defense Ministry handed over to representatives of the national authority Syria on the implementation of the Convention OPCW material and documentary evidence of the fact of use of chemical weapons.

The experts of the Ministry of defense of Russia on Saturday handed over to representatives of the national authority Syria on the implementation of the Convention of the Organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons (OPCW) evidence of militants chemical weapons (mustard gas) in the province of Aleppo, reports «Interfax».

As reported in the defense Ministry, the Syrian side received results of analyses of samples of the chemical munitions with mustard gas, soil samples from the area of impact of the ordnance, and soil samples from the funnel and samples of the ammunition.

November 16, in the province of Aleppo in the village Marret-Umm-Haouch Russian military found used by insurgents against civilians of unexploded mortar mine homemade caliber 240 mm with tube in the tail, characteristic of chemical munitions.
