The head of Russia Vladimir Putin approved a law whereby the penalty for failure of a driver to miss a pedestrian is increased to 2.5 thousand rubles. About this report «Izvestia» with reference to the relevant document showed Monday, October 30, on the official website of legal information.

The law provides for amendments to the administrative code, which established punishment in the form of an administrative fine in the amount from one half to two and a half thousand rubles for a «failure to meet requirement of traffic regulations to give way to pedestrians, cyclists or other road users».
