59 people killed and 118 injured
during a terrorist attack on a police College in Pakistan. Three gunmen stormed the
the building, opened fire and detonated a suicide belt. It happened in Quetta,
the capital of Balochistan province, on the evening of 24 October. They captured
hostage by about 250 people – students and teachers. Two suicide bombers killed by
explosions, the third killed by security forces during the RAID, which lasted
a couple of hours. Pakistani officials suspected that the attack should combat
the Sunni organization Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (banned in
Pakistan and declared a terrorist by the United States). Later responsibility for the attack was taken by the «Islamic state» (banned
in Russia as a terrorist organization).

expressed condolences to President of Pakistan in connection with the attack. President
expressed confidence that «the originators and perpetrators of this barbaric
crime will incur the deserved punishment». He confirmed Russia’s readiness to increase
counter-terrorism cooperation with Pakistan. The President conveyed the words of
sympathy to the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
