Putin: disabled persons must provide every opportunity for election

The Russians, who have health restrictions, should be provided with all the opportunities to participate in elections and vote. This was stated on Tuesday the President of Russia Vladimir Putin at a meeting with disabled persons and representatives of relevant NGOs.

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin stated that people with disabilities should be given every opportunity in the presidential election in 2018, writes Газета.Ru.

«Citizens of Russia, in whatever condition they were, not only can, but must be provided with all the opportunities for active participation in political life, including elections,» — said the head of state at a meeting with disabled persons and representatives of relevant NGOs.

At the meeting, the President spoke about the various barriers, for example, that is still not all polling stations have ramps, there are also questions of information support of election campaigns. In response Putin stressed that if there are any restrictions, they should be discussed with the legislators and the CEC.
