The President of Russia Vladimir Putin accepted the resignation of the Governor of the Pskov region Andrei Turchak. The acting head of the region appointed the Deputy of the Plenipotentiary of the President in Severo-the Western Federal district Mikhail Vedernikov.

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin accepted the resignation of the Governor of the Pskov region Andrei Turchak. This was reported by TASS with reference to press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov. Turchak left the post at own will.

The acting head of the region appointed the Deputy of the Plenipotentiary of the President in Severo-the Western Federal district Mikhail Vedernikov. Putin held a meeting with him, during which personally announced the appointment.
