Poltava Kiev demanded of Federal relations

Deputies
Poltava regional Council voted to appeal to the Kyiv
a call to enter into «agreement on the division of powers» between the government of the country and the region.

«We
deputies of the Poltava regional Council, the Plenipotentiary representatives of the
territorial communities of Poltava region, are outraged by the inconsistency and
the slow pace of local government reform»,
— stated in the text of the appeal to local deputies to the President and the Prime Minister of Ukraine.

The document notes that the current reform of local self-government and local Executive bodies did not happen, even though some Kiev in
over the last two years on a course of reform of local government.

According to members of the Poltava regional Council, the agreement will allow «to create a new, dynamic and effective
regional policy and will provide an opportunity to address global issues
typical for all Ukrainian regions and to take into account the specifics of each individual
region.»
