Mutko: Russia is ready to pay the IOC $15 million

Vitaly Mutko, Deputy Chairman of the government of the Russian Federation on issues of sport, tourism and youth policy, said that Russia is ready to pay the International Olympic Committee (IOC) $15 million, but only on the basis of the contract with this organization and with the restoration of the ROC’s membership in the IOC.

«If you pay, under a contract with the IOC, and not just so», — quotes the official TASS.

Earlier Vitaly Mutko said he did not cling to his place and is ready to resign «if it’s someone on benefits will be».

Recall, December 5, the IOC at its meeting in Lausanne decided to suspend the Russian team from participation in the Games in 2018.

In addition, the IOC has suspended the membership of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), as well as banned for life from Vitaly Mutko to the Olympic games.

By decision of the Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), OCD is required to reimburse expenses in the amount of $15 million, which the IOC spent on the investigation of doping violations by the Russian side.

The IOC believes that R & d should contribute to the creation of an Independent organization of the doping test, the purpose of which is to build a global and holistic anti-doping system.
