Medvedev urged not to turn the presidential election into a war

The struggle in the presidential election campaign is a serious, but not to turn it into a war. This was stated by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, speaking with the report in the State Duma. According to him, during the election campaign is not wasting time on populism and conflict.

«People voted us to do all people to live better, to success has become the norm in Russia,» — said Medvedev, noting that this request will remain in the presidential elections in 2018.

Speaking about the upcoming presidential campaign, the Prime Minister said that the struggle in the elections will be serious, but you can’t turn them into war. According to Medvedev, the authorities will expend energy on «populism, speculation and empty conflicts» that will benefit those «who are unlikely to care about how to live Russia who want to isolate and weaken the country».

«Of course, that doesn’t mean we can’t be disagreements and disputes relate only to methods of achievement of the main goal. And the goal we share — to develop the country, to provide people with a prosperous life», — concluded the Prime Minister.
