Lukashenko: Russia and Belarus settle oil dispute

Russia and Belarus agreed on oil and gas issues, said President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. About it reports Agency «BelTA».

«I met yesterday with a government report on oil and gas issues with the Russian Federation. I understand that the next battle is over and we managed to sign a relevant document, problematic issues, at least, of yesterday, was agreed and removed», — said the head of state.

7 October in Moscow ended in the next round of talks on the gas issue. Lukashenko said that Belarus is ready to compromise in negotiations with Russia on energy.

Since the beginning of this year, Moscow and Minsk are negotiating the gas price for Belarusian consumers. Minister of energy of Russia Alexander Novak on 1 October reported that the debt of Belarus for the Russian gas is 270-300 million dollars. In Belarus, said about the unfairness of the contract price in 132,77 dollars per thousand cubic meters and refused to recognize the debt.
