Lavrov accused Ukraine of violating the European Convention on human rights

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov said that Ukraine today does not fulfill the European Convention on human rights. The head of the Russian foreign Ministry said following the session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in Nicosia.

During the meeting, participants drew attention to the need to respect the rights and freedoms of the individual enshrined in the European Convention. In Ukraine, these obligations are being violated. The Minister said the situation with the attacks on the Church, the media, the activities of parliamentarians.

Earlier, Lavrov said that the actions of the Kiev authorities indicate the lack of intention on their part to fulfil its part of the Minsk agreements for Donbass and are influenced by the radical forces of society.

iReactor reported that the Ministry of energy of Ukraine ordered to confiscate coal from the Donbass.
