Khrushchev Jr. said about «weak Russia,» unable to match its power with the United States

The heir to former General Secretary of the Communist party of the Soviet Union Nikita Khrushchev said about «weak Russia,» unable to match its power with the United States. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

These words came from Sergei Khrushchev during his lecture at the National atomic testing Museum in Las Vegas. In a speech to an audience of two hundred people, he raised the issue of relations between the United States and the Soviet Union, and then Russia.

According to Khrushchev, Jr., at the peak of the strained relations America in every way showed the behavior of «world police», while Moscow was trying «to hide weakness and fear.» According to Khrushchev, it provoked the refusal of the USSR from participation in the program lunar mission and the Cuban missile crisis.

At the end of his speech, he concluded that peace between countries is possible only if there is mutual respect.

IReactor previously reported that Khrushchev Jr. said about the involvement of the state planning Commission to the transfer of Crimea to Ukraine in 1954.
