Kerry rejected accusations of US involvement in the coup attempt in Turkey

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressing his supporters at a rally in Istanbul, demanded the USA to extradite Fethullah Gulen’s home. He said that the Islamic opposition and its supporters are directly involved in the coup, reports «TV Center».

Erdogan said that Ankara and Washington are strategic partners and need to comply with the terms of this partnership. The statements of the Turkish leader responded to the US Secretary of state John Kerry.

«We have not yet received a formal request for the extradition of Fetullah gülen the Turkish authorities. We also expect Ankara convincing evidence of the involvement of gülen to the coup attempt. And then the United States will consider the appeal properly and, of course, will be to assist the Turkish authorities», — said Kerry.
