Rescue coordination centre Northern Norway, said on Sunday about finding the wreckage of a Russian Mi-8 helicopter that went missing a few days ago near Spitsbergen, writes the news edition «RT in Russian».

As it became known, the wreckage were at the bottom of the sea at a depth of 209 meters on a plot located 2.2 kilometers North-East of Cape Heer.

Mi-8 has been missing since October 28. On Board during the crash were eight members of the crew. Their fate is not known.

The investigative Committee of the Russian Federation initiated a criminal case.
