Today, December 5, it became known that in Austria the constitutional court has equated same-sex marriage to opposite-sex, noting the relevant legal provisions. This was reported on the website of the court.
2019 in Austria will be officially allowed same-sex marriages. Thus, all restrictions on such marriages will be lifted before the end of 2018, and new regulations will come into force after 31 December 2018. In addition, the constitutional court declared existing laws to be discriminatory.
