IMF chief Christine Lagarde will appear before court in Paris

Managing Director of the International monetary
Fund Christine Lagarde will be judged in France in the case of questionable
multimillion-dollar compensation in 2008. Today, July 22, the Supreme court
France opened the way for the start of the corresponding judicial proceedings, Interfax reported.

Lagarde is in the field of view of the judiciary in
connection with a questionable multi-million dollar payment, which was paid in 2008
year to businessman Bernard Tapie. The current head of the IMF, while being the head
The Ministry of Finance of France, helped pay 403 million euros, signing the corresponding
documents.

Investigators suspect that the decision was made in
the benefit of TAPI in exchange for his support of Nicolas Sarkozy. Later it was also revealed,
one of the lawyers of the businessman was linked to one of the judges in the Commission
which adopted the decision on payment of the compensation.

Recall that in February 2015 the court of Paris
annulled the previous decision and ruled that this amount should be
returned.
