Doping in Russia is now going to fight MSU

The head of the Cabinet Dmitry Medvedev signed the instrument of accession to the anti-doping center, Moscow state University named after M. V. Lomonosov, writes RT.

«Today I signed a government decree on the accession of the anti-doping center Moscow state Lomonosov University as a special structural units,» — said Medvedev.

According to Medvedev, the measure will help to maintain the financial and economic independence of the future national anti-doping laboratories and strengthen the state policy on prevention of doping in sport. «It is the policy of the state, which we will continue in emergency mode,» — said Medvedev.

It is expected that the new anti-Doping centre will be engaged in «anti-doping to the sports teams of Russia» and independent control of biomaterials for doping tests, as well as at MSU will be held by studies aimed at preventing and combating doping.

Recall, December 5, the IOC its decision to disqualify the Russian Olympic Committee for life and stripped of accreditation Deputy Prime Minister Vitaliy Mutko and Yuri Nagornykh. In the winter Olympics in Pyeongchang will be able to participate only athletes from Russia who have been convicted of doping earlier. They will be able to compete under a neutral flag.
