German Chancellor Angela Merkel recently made a statement that Russia allegedly distributes in Germany information that could affect the elections in this country. Russia’s permanent representative to the EU Vladimir Chizhov demanded that the German Chancellor has provided evidence of the charges.
The leading question BBC HARDtalk about his attitude to the statements of Merkel Chizhov said: «I respect her (Merkel’s) opinion, but if she has no objective evidence, let them present.» We will remind, elections in the Bundestag will be held in Germany on September 24. According to their results, the government will be formed and announced by the Chancellor.
Note that Russia has repeatedly accused the West of meddling in the elections of different countries. Any evidence the prosecutors have not presented, indicating that they were unfounded. Moscow denied the accusations. Political analysts believe that they are part of information warfare that the West is waging against Russia.
IReactor previously reported that Merkel asked trump not to argue with Russia about Syria.
