From the beginning of 2017, China launched direct rail freight to the UK. The length of the route, which has been dubbed the «new silk road» is 12 thousand kilometers. This composition overcomes distance for 18 days.
A cargo train going from the city of Yiwu in Zhejiang province, East China to London in seven countries: Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany, Belgium and France. The last part of the route is the Eurotunnel under the English channel. The first time the flight will be operated once a week.
The benefits of railway communication for China is obvious: it is almost twice as faster sea route and a half times cheaper than air transportation. The UK became the 18-th country in Europe, which has direct connections from China.
The operator of the cargo was the company Timex Yiwu Industrial Investment Co., which more successfully supports direct communication with Spain.
