In Moscow as a result of breakthrough of the pipeline of hot water, eight people were injured, five of whom were hospitalized. This information was made public by the publication of RIA Novosti citing a source in the emergency services.
Earlier Vladimir Puchkov, head of Russian Ministry of emergency situations, convened an emergency meeting of the working group of the government Commission. During the meeting the Minister requested to monitor the situation and to prevent the lowering of heat supply in apartments in the capital and the socially important facilities located in the East of Moscow.

According to the Ministry of energy of Russia, about 900 tenement houses had been transferred to a backup supply scheme. The accident was localized around 01:30. The heat supply was restored.
